Food Trading License Offer

Launch Your Food Business from AED 24,500!

Turn your culinary passion into a thriving business with LFL International Group, your expert guide to navigating Dubai’s booming food scene. Whether you envision a cozy cafe, a trendy food truck, or a fine-dining restaurant, Dubai offers the perfect launchpad for your unique flavors.

Type of Licenses

If you’re passionate about cooking and love creating memorable dining experiences, a restaurant could be your perfect fit. Choose from casual cafes to elegant fine-dining establishments, catering your concept to your budget and target audience. You’ll need a commercial license from DED or a free zone, kitchen and floor plan approval from Dubai Municipality, and food safety certification.

Dreaming of a cozy haven filled with aromatic coffee, delicious pastries, and a welcoming atmosphere? Look no further than a cafe. With lower startup costs, it’s a perfect entry point into the food business, offering relaxed vibes, free Wi-Fi, and comfy seating. You need a commercial trade license, menu approval, and food safety clearances from Dubai Municipality.

Craving the freedom to roam and share your culinary creations far and wide? A food truck is your answer! Cater to events, festivals, or markets, offering a unique and mobile dining experience.

Must-haves for starting a food truck or cloud kitchen in Dubai

  • Submit a Business Plan: Your detailed business plan must be approved by both the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) and the Dubai Municipality.
  • Obtain HACCP Certification: Secure a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification for both your central kitchen and food truck layout.
  • Find a Certified Kitchen: If you’re selling rather than preparing food on-site, you’ll need to find a certified kitchen or outsource food preparation to a caterer.
  • You Must Have a Coffeeshop or Restaurant License: Either of the licenses would work for you to open a food truck business in Dubai.
  • Secure RTA, DM, and DEWA Approvals: Obtain necessary approvals from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Municipality, and the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

Do you thrive under pressure and have an eye for detail? A catering business could be your calling. Impress clients with your culinary skills and meticulous planning, providing delectable food and beverage experiences for weddings, parties, and corporate events. Operate from a commercial kitchen or a mobile setup, depending on your needs.

Embrace the digital age with a cloud kitchen! No need for a storefront – focus on online orders and delivery services to reach customers directly.

Cloud Kitchen – Must-Haves:

  • Trade License:

    • You need a commercial license with the activity like “Preparation and Delivery Services” or “Cloud Kitchen,” depending on the zone (DED or Free Zones like Dubai South, KIZAD, or Dubai CommerCity).

  • Physical Kitchen Space:

    • A licensed kitchen facility that meets Dubai Municipality health & safety standards—you can rent space in existing shared kitchens or set up your own.

Got a passion for baking and love the magic of freshly baked goods? Open a bakery! Share your creativity and deliciousness with customers, offering anything from classic breads to decadent cakes and pastries. Operate as a standalone haven or integrate your bakery into a restaurant or cafe.

These are just a few starting points. A bakery license requires approval from DED or a free zone, food preparation area compliance, and Dubai Municipality certification

A grocery license allows retail sale of packaged food, household items, and basic supplies. You’ll need a DED commercial license, Ejari (shop lease), and Dubai Municipality health and hygiene approval. Typical setup costs range between AED 20,000 to 50,000, depending on store size and inventory.

Foodstuff trading in the UAE involves importing, exporting, and distributing packaged food items like rice, spices, beverages, and canned goods. To start, you need a commercial trade license, Dubai Municipality approval, an office or warehouse lease, and an import/export code. The setup cost typically ranges from AED 22,000 on the mainland, and AED 8,000 in free zones.
